Consultant, Auditor and Trainer
Frank Martinez is a simpleQuE consultant and auditor with excellent program management, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. He is a certified lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016. With a focus on continual improvement in reducing defects, scrap costs, and improving quality at lower cost in support of manufacturing systems, he provides added value to customers. Frank is bilingual and is fluent in English and Spanish.
ISO/Quality Management Systems
Frank has more than 25 years of experience managing and performing third party assessments for Certification Bodies to IATF16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 for numerous Fortune 500 clients in the areas of high-tech manufacturing, medical, automotive, semiconductor, electronics and injection molding plastics, He has also worked to continually improve and manage Quality Management Systems for organizations seeking certifications to meet internal and external customer specific requirements.
As the Automotive Staff Technical Expert for the past 10 years at Eagle Certification Group, Frank was responsible for managing the IATF16949:2016 program. This position consisted of performing witness audits on IATF auditors, completing technical reviews of CARA reports generated by auditors, and for clients identified on the Red Supplier Program. Frank also conducted periodic IATF presentations to the Eagle Auditor team, stakeholders, and clients. He is a certified International Qualified Automotive Lead Auditor who performs audits to IATF16949:2016, and is an expert in automotive core tools.
While at American Racing Equipment, Frank held quality management positions where he directed and implemented the QMS at the Aluminum and Steel division. He also spent two years at their Mexican subsidiary where his leadership resulted in cost savings through the reduction of product defects, scrap, and customer complaints.
As Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor at Hughes Aircraft, Frank completed the Hughes Aircraft’s two-year Manufacturing Engineering Rotational Program for supervisory and technical management. He led Six Sigma/Kaizen continual improvement projects with injection molding suppliers, which reduced defects (e.g., blisters, delamination, and flow marks) by 40% and scrap for plastic components, required for in-house assembly process on numerous satellite system programs.
