ISO/Quality Management Systems

In addition to Aerospace, Mike is also qualified to audit across a variety of industries including:  Chemical, Rubber and Plastic products; Basic Metals; Fabricated Metal Products; Metals – Special Processes; Machinery and Equipment; Electrical; Transport and Manufacturing. Mike was the lead inspector and internal auditor for a plant at Indian Creek Fabricators which specialized in commercial, industrial metal fabrication and large-scale machining. The site is ISO 9001 certified and serves Aerospace, Commercial, Oil & Gas, and Medical suppliers as primarily a Tier 2. He was also responsible for programming, set-up and machining for large machining centers, job development for lean manufacturing practices, employee training and machinery implementations.

Aerospace

Michael began his aerospace career in 2000 at MTD Acquisition, LLC/Mutual Tool and Die as shift leader responsible for machining and programming, first article inspections, and machine set-ups to meet customer specific format.  He was also responsible for ensuring traceability of product and configuration management processes, while also overseeing tooling management for programs, forecasting and managing costs.

Mike further developed his experience at Heroux-Devtek which specializes in the design, development, manufacture, testing, repair and overhaul of landing gear for the Aerospace and Defense industries. Some of their customers include Airbus, Embraer, Northrup Grumman, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Air Force and Navy. Mike was responsible for inspection activities, CSR final inspection and sourcing activities.  Other responsibilities involved calibration and gage control, nonconforming material management, final assembly, programming and set ups, application of FOD requirements, Special Process Validations and other AS Customer Specific Requirements (including verification of Mil-Spec requirements).
