SimpleQuE Congratulates Vortex Aviation on AS9110C Certification
Jim Lee, simpleQuE President, presents Tim Forbes and the Vortex Aviation team with a congratulatory plaque for their successful AS9110C certification. The Vortex Aviation team in Ft. Lauderdale has been working with simpleQuE consultants to prepare for AS9110, which defines the requirements for a quality management system (QMS) for organizations whose primary business is providing maintenance repair and overhaul services in the aircraft industry. SimpleQuE has assisted 2.6% of all the AS9110 certified repair stations in the US to prepare for certification.
Vortex Aviation is a commercial jet turbine engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) certified repair station with the FAA and EASA. Commercial aircraft MRO is critical for safety reasons to ensure that aircraft, including engines and components meet standards of airworthiness as determined by national and international aviation regulators. Vortex’s worldwide Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) and scheduled field service maintenance is supported by hospital engine shops in Fort Lauderdale, a European base in Shannon Ireland, and an Asian base in Singapore. Their scope is to provide global “on-wing” and “off-wing” turbine engine support, and continuing airworthiness management services for civil aviation engines. The Singapore site will soon complete its AS9110 certification audit. Congratulations Vortex Aviation!
